This is our first year back in our building. The vestry knew that it would take time to see how the building worked and what it would require from us.

Vestry Minutes Pg. 3
Several things are working quite well. We wanted the chapel to have better light. It does. We wanted to improve the acoustics. We did. We wanted to put in every bit of insulation possible to make the building more energy efficient. We succeeded. And, we are not done. Conversations are continuing on how to make the building better.
Evangelism Notes Pg. 3
“Through his power all things were made—things in heaven and on earth, things seen and unseen.” Colossians 1:16

No price is set on the lavish summer; June may be had by the poorest comer.
James Russell Lowell
Here are a few things that aren’t working as well as we would like. At times, the nursery feels like it’s a furnace. The automatic light switches in the ceiling were a mistake. (These switches are gradually being replaced.) Drainage after a heavy rain is a problem. It is delaying the completion of our landscaping plan.
With one decision, history began. Existence became measurable.

Out of nothing, came light.

Here’s the stewardship part. God blesses us to be a blessing. We have a new building. How will we use it to be a blessing for Pass Christian? We are talking with the schools to see how we could help them. We are talking with the Historical Society. Their new building, which is gorgeous, does not have a large meeting room.
Out of light came day.

Then came sky...and earth.

And on this earth? A mighty hand went to work. Canyons were carved. Oceans were dug. Mountains erupted out of flatlands. Stars were flung. A universe sparkled.
Stewardship is always the same set of issues. How do we use the time, the talent, and the treasure that God has blessed us with?

As you make your plans for the summer, I hope you will plan to be with us at Trinity Church. I hope you will make a financial commitment and I hope you will make a spiritual commitment to pray and to discern how God would use us for the building up of His kingdom.

Look to the canyons to see the Creator’s splendor. Touch the flowers and see his delicacy. Listen to the thunder and hear his power…
I welcome your concerns and your suggestions. It’s going to take some time to figure out how to best use our new building. I want to hear from you about it.
