Trinity Church-rebuilding for a New
Pass Christian!
The new church plan will comprise functional buildings linked by a plaza which is centered
with the old church bells.  The current church will become a multi-purpose building, there
will be a new office building, and a finally a new church.  The new church will be elevated
per new FEMA guidelines and will offer parking underneath.  The design will be open and
airy to compliment the open feeling of the land which the church sits on.  The overall
orientation of the buildings will provide a panoramic vista of the beach and the Gulf waters
which have such a dominating influence on the culture of Pass Christian.

Bishop Gray leads the Ground
Breaking Ceremony and offers
words of encouragement
Fr. Christopher Colby, rector of
Trinity Church talks about the long
journey into the light
Bishop Gray offers a blessing prior to the ground breaking:
ready to dig are Fr. Colby, Bishop Gray, Gordon Burton, Lin
Burdette, Mayor Chipper McDermmot, and vestry member
Alice Russell
Is that a new Biretta the Rector is wearing?
And is Bishop Gray really looking for a
blessing, or just laughing?
And how could we not have cake to celebrate the 10th
anniversary of Fr. Colby being called as Rector of Trinity (above).

And how could we not have some Kimball's fine seafood for
celebrating????  Thanks to Darlene Kimball (below)!!
Mayor Chipper McDermott gave a beautiful
testimony on how important Trinity is to
the Community of Pass Christian
And Thanks to all
who attended and
helped us make our
mark for the future
of Trinity Church
and Pass Christian!
